These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Maintenance Mate mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Maintenance Mate ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service on devices that you own or control, for your personal or internal business purposes.

The Service allows you to create, upload, and store content such as maintenance logs, photos, parts inventories, and notes ("Your Content"). You retain all ownership rights in Your Content. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service to you.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to upload and store it. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data.
The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services (for example, authentication, cloud hosting, and data synchronization providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, we reserve all rights in and to the Service.
New accounts receive a 30-day free trial of the Service; no payment method is required to start it. When the trial ends, continued use of the Service requires a paid subscription. Certain features, including AI-assisted setup, are available only to paid subscribers.
Subscriptions are billed by our payment processor, Stripe, at the price shown at checkout (currently USD $6 per month, plus USD $4 per month for each optional add-on pack of three additional items). You are charged when you subscribe and then automatically on the same day of each following month until you cancel. Charges are not prorated; if you add or remove add-on packs, the new monthly amount applies from your next billing date. You can update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel at any time from the "Manage billing" link in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
The base subscription includes maintaining up to three top-level items (for example boats, vehicles, or aircraft); each add-on pack adds three more. Contact us at support@maintenancemate.app with any billing questions.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data will be accurate or preserved.
The Service is a maintenance record-keeping and informational tool. It is not a substitute for professional inspection, servicing, or judgment. You are responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of your vessel and equipment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maintenance Mate and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you will end, though provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Maintenance Mate is established, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that jurisdiction.
